Abstract
The AI-POTENT project addresses multiple issues including scaling of MOF production, enhancement of MOF integration and demonstration of MOF-based AWG technology in geothermal power plants. The project aims to leverage NovNat’s unique MOF technology to optimize slurry application with the aid of machine learning (Betek Boya), enhance AWG condenser design (TeandM), upscale NovNat’s AWG system, and demonstrate its integration with a geothermal power plant in the west of Turkey (Zorlu Enerji). Through multi-objective optimization and AI enhanced approaches, the project seeks to elevate the MOF-AWG system from TRL 5 to TRL 7, achieving a daily freshwater production scale of 200 liters per day to supplement make-up water and blowdown process. The results of this project will inform the adoption of AWG technology across various GT power plants in Turkey and the EU.
