The EUREKA Global Project of the Year is an award to recognise the project which has achieved the biggest impact overall within the EUREKA portfolio. It will consider all projects funded within the last 5 years (since 2013) under EUREKA, across all instruments.
Process
Taking the project impact reports from all instruments under EUREKA in the last 5 years, NPCs will propose a maximum of two projects per country to shortlist for the award. NPCs are encouraged to consider projects from different instruments under EUREKA.
Projects which have previously received a EUREKA award are not eligible. NPCs will send the names of these projects to the Award panel email address: EUREKAProjectAward@eurekanetwork.org
The Chairmanship team will work with the ESE to pull together packs of the shortlisted projects to send to the Award panel.
This shortlist will be sent to the Award panel. They will rank their projects against the award criteria.
The top five ranked projects will be the finalists for the award.
The Prize
The UK will pay for all 5 finalists to have a video made about their project. Representatives from all 5 projects will be invited to the EUREKA Global Innovation Summit in Manchester with all travel and accommodation paid.
Ahead of the Summit, the Award panel will evaluate the top 5 projects and select a winner.
At the EUREKA Global Innovation Summit, the winner will be presented with a trophy and certificate of the EUREKA Global Project of the year.
