Global Innovation Summit 2025 to gather international industrial innovation leaders at Hannover Messe

The Global Innovation Summit 2025 will take place on 1–2 April as part of Hannover Messe, one of the world’s most prominent industrial and technology trade fairs. Organised by the Eureka network, the summit offers a key platform for SMEs, large companies, investors and policymakers to explore new opportunities for international R&D cooperation.

From SMART, we believe this is a highly relevant event for all the companies in our community, providing an exceptional opportunity to connect with international partners and scale up their innovation efforts through collaboration.

Held alongside Hannover Messe, which annually hosts over 130,000 attendees from more than 150 countries, the summit will feature plenary sessions, expert panels, networking forums and matchmaking activities to foster collaborative projects.

Boosting technological cooperation

Under the theme “Circular Value Creation”, the summit will address how industries can evolve towards more sustainable, digital and resilient models. The agenda includes:

  • Plenary sessions with international experts discussing advanced manufacturing, circular economy and cross-border innovation.
  • Pitching sessions for companies to present their technological solutions and attract potential partners.
  • Country sessions showcasing funding mechanisms to support participation in Eureka programmes.
  • Eureka Village, an interactive space for guidance and information on international collaboration opportunities.
  • Matchmaking activities, facilitating strategic meetings between potential project partners.

In addition, the Eureka Academy will run throughout the two days, offering insightful sessions on Eureka’s programmes led by experts and participating organisations.

Joint initiative by Canada and Germany

This edition is jointly organised by Eureka’s Canadian and German Co-Chairs, represented by the National Research Council Canada and Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

At SMART, we encourage our community to consider participating in this strategic event as a way to enhance innovation capabilities and open new paths for international industrial cooperation.
