More than 20 different entities gathered in Brussels in SMARTS 2nd Call PO Proposers’ Day
30 participants from more than 20 different entities coming from 7 different countries gathered in Brussels for SMART’s 2nd Call PO Proposer’s Day.
The workshop began with an introductory presentation on EUREKA and it’s different instruments made by Jorge Liz, Cluster representative at EUREKA Association. Afterwards SMART representatives explained the structure of SMART EUREKA CLUSTER and the process of submitting Projects within this 2nd Call for Projects.
In a section where Board Members took the floor, Leif Andersen, Senior Project Engineer at GKN Aerospace Norway, showed all the assistants the Future Manufacturing Trends of his company whereas Elisabeth Sagström, Manufacturing Manager at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden within the Materials and Prouction Division, spoke about LIGHTer, the Swedish multi-sectiorial lightweight arena.
Durign the pitching sessions, 9 project ideas were launched to those present at the venue. Interest to form international consortia to develop those projects was expressed by attendees. Project ideas are published in our Projects Looking For Partners section.
Finally, the event also gave the opportunity to explore collaboration opportunities thanks to a B2B meetings slot.
Overall we can say that the event was extremely interesting and useful from the networking point of view, with the intention to pave the way to submitt successful Project Proposals before the 19th of November deadline.
